ストレス免疫治療学研究部門とは
災害等のストレスにより免疫力が低下し、易感染性となることが古くから知られている。その原因には、副腎皮質ステロイドをはじめとする内分泌系や神経系による免疫細胞機能の抑制が関与していることが示唆されているが、その詳細は依然多くの謎に包まれている。ストレス免疫治療学研究部門では、「免疫系と内分泌系・神経系の連関」という観点で、ストレスが免疫機能に及ぼす影響を分子レベルで解明し、その制御法を開発し治療応用することを目指しています。
