災害環境健康学研究部門とは

災害環境健康学研究部門は災害時に想定される環境の変化による健康への影響を明らかにすることを研究目標としています。災害時には工場などの被災により予期せぬ化学物質が環境中に漏れ出す可能性があります。健康への影響を調べるためには、このような化学物質の曝露の評価や、迅速な環境試料のモニタリングおよびヒトにおける経時的なモニタリングを実施する必要があります。また、災害に強い居住環境や災害後に健康を守る環境を作る上では、街づくりの視点が欠かせません。発災、被災後のまちづくりに、必要な環境面(物理環境と社会環境)の視点を国内外のエビデンスに基づき、考察していきます。当研究部門では災害に強い街や住んでいるだけで健康になるまちづくりを目指した研究も進めていきます。
