部門メンバー横手が主宰する医学研究院 内分泌代謝・血液・老年内科学教室では、研究の一環として、新型コロナウイルス感染症に罹患した患者における糖代謝や外出控えが肥満などの生活習慣病および高齢者のフレイルに与える影響を解析しています。 部門メンバー大鳥が主宰する医学研究院 整形外科学教室では、研究の一環として、感染症、災害における運動不足や不動による体の疼痛や関節・脊椎障害に対してどのような運動，心理的介入が最も効果的であるかを横断的、縦断的に研究を行っております。
